    Imagine this on a larger scale and you will have a better understanding of uap technology. The cosmic microwave background is light too. You just can't witness it. If you develop a material that tachyon can't go through. That material would weigh about as much as planet lol. But because of the resistance of the material. It would technically be weightless do to this exact physics. Now Imagine the material could be changed by electronic means to absorb or reflect on a specific location. Suddenly you can reach speeds unheard of because light becomes its engine

    I say its complicated....So pressure is the volume vertical distance. You can have a 5 square and 2 inch deep tank and the pressurein a 1 inch square tub that is 5 feet deep will have more pressure. The liquid in the tall side goes down but the small side goes up the same space. So the pressure in the tall side goes down but small side goes up. That middle section stays the same.

    I May be wrong and im 99% sure that if im not wrong Then my explanation is wrong. A has higher pressure, the low pressure in B causes Air to really love rushing in to the very back of it, pushing the liquid out of the are and making an Air bubble, the High pressure in A makes the Air want to stay out and all that causing the liquid to be left in.

    I mean; The air bubble visibly occupies more space on top = less space for water = higher pressure 😬 Was easy to guess.

  • @heaplabs
    @heaplabs 11 часов назад

    I don't quite understand the argument for the pressure to be stable in a closed system, unless the pressure is measured at the absolute bottom or the pressure difference caused by the position of the medium can be neglected (e.g. high pressure air). For example, if we have a light and a heavy brick on top of each other and measure the pressure in the middle, the order of the bricks matters.

    Forget analogies, just understand the materials involved and how they interact. Then @alexrvolt662 explanation in the comments is golden. 1) The gas is mostly nitrogen molecules (air) and the liquid is mostly water molecules. The pressure of the gas exceeds the vapor pressure of the liquid (standard air pressure or higher, most likely, depending upon how the liquid and gas were introduced before sealing the tube). As such: The liquid cannot significantly contribute its molecules quickly to the gaseous part of the system and the gas cannot contribute its molecules quickly to the liquid part of the system. The specific gravity of the liquid does not change during the experiment. The gas is not carbon dioxide and the liquid is not 90% isopropyl alcohol, for example. 2) The liquid, being close to an ideal fluid is incompressible and follows the rule that Archimedes essentially discovered and that every scuba diver knows very well - its pressure at depth is that at the surface plus the weight of the height of the water column to the surface. The liquid is close to an ideal liquid, as in classical fluid mechanics, and so is not interacting with external electromagnetic fields - it is only interacting externally with gravity. The liquid is occupying a fixed volume in a closed system of fixed volume, (and, again, nearly constant specific gravity). 3) The gas is close to an ideal gas and so follows Boyles law. Its pressure is constant for the same volumes, and from points 1 and 2 we know the gas occupies the same volume in both scenarios and is the same mass of gas. Hence the pressure of the gas at its surface to the liquid is the same under both scenarios. After ploughing through those basic concepts in chemistry, ideal gasses, and ideal liquids, you can easily calculate the pressure at any point in each system. Note that the answer to the question asked does not require knowing the actual pressure of the gas or the specific gravity of the liquid, only the physical properties under play.

    Another way to look at it, when we consider the air pressure to be neutral with the bubble on top: if the air bubble is down, it wants to be "compressed" by the weight of the water above it, so the water is "pulled apart", creating negative pressure similar to capillary forces in trees.
